Skills Support for the Workforce Programme (15-002-001)
ES is submitting a bid to the Skills Funding Agency to deliver the SFA ESF Skills Support for the Workforce contract on behalf of GM Futures. The requirements outlined by SFA in the specification for the Skills Support for the Workforce tender include:
- Intermediate / higher level skills
- Basic skills (English, Maths and ESOL)
- Response to Redundancy
This programme will raise productivity through workforce skills development, particularly at advanced and higher levels and in priority sectors identified as being business, financial and professional services, advanced manufacturing (including advanced materials), digital and creative, construction, logistics and low carbon.
Provision will support sustainable employment and promote in-work progression for individuals through the delivery of work-related skills training. Greater Manchester will fund provision that raises the attainment levels achieved by these individuals, enabling them to raise their employment status.
The programme will deliver education and training that is in line with labour market demand and that supports both Growth and Reform in GM.
Suppliers that are registered on the ES Intend system and who completed a Stage 1 EOI have been invited to submit a Stage 2 EOI for the above supply chain opportunity.
The following mandatory criteria apply. It should be noted that failure to meet any of the following will result in an automatic fail:
- Must have a UKPRN
- Adequate insurance cover to the minimum value specified
- Must be able to demonstrate Economic and Financial Standing (measured using accounts and credit check)
- If within Scope for Ofsted inspection, a minimum grade 3
- Cannot be under notice from the SFA for Failure of Inspection, Financial Health or Financial Control
- No grounds for mandatory exclusion
Providers may choose to participate in any or all of the following: Strand 1 (Basic Skills), Strand 2 (Intermediate / Higher Level Skills or Strand 3 (Response to Redundancy – call off training provision).
